Reminde
Pocket alternative
A Pocket alternative that reminds you to come back
Pocket shut down in 2025. If you still have saved articles — or you need a bookmark manager that does not forget them — Reminde imports Pocket exports, organizes items into Slots, and sends reminders when you actually have time to read.
Why people looked for a Pocket successor
Pocket was the default read-later button: tap save, close the tab, hope you return. After Mozilla shut the service down, those saves needed a new home. Most bookmark apps only store URLs. Reminde is built around the gap Pocket never fully closed — getting the article back in front of you on a date or a daily routine, not leaving it in an archive you never open.
What Reminde keeps, and what it adds
You still save articles, videos, product pages, and notes in one place and open them later on any device. Slots are the first-level groups: Reading, Watch Later, Wishlist, Research, or a Slot you name yourself. Tags live inside a Slot. Reminders are the extra loop — a specific day, or a repeating window such as weekday lunches or Sunday evening.
Capture stays fast. The Chrome extension saves the current page or a YouTube video. On iOS and Android, the share sheet sends a link into a Slot. The web app is there when you want to clean up, add notes, or schedule what comes back this week.
How to import from Pocket
Reminde accepts the CSV export Pocket provided. If you already downloaded your data before shutdown, use that file. If you still have Pocket account access, export first, then import:
- Sign in at getpocket.com, open your profile, go to Settings, then Export, and download the CSV.
- Create a Reminde account at reminde.app/auth or sign in if you already have one.
- Open Account and choose Import your Pocket data.
- Upload the CSV. Reminde reads the saved URLs and adds them to your library.
- Sort imported items into Slots and attach reminders to anything you still intend to finish.
The importer expects a Pocket CSV, not a random HTML bookmarks file. If a row has no usable URL it is skipped. After import you can delete duplicates, retitle items, and move batches into topic Slots instead of leaving everything in one Slot.

Pocket is shutting down
Import your Pocket data
Bring your saved articles into Reminde and keep getting reminded about what you meant to read — organized into slots, synced across devices.
After you import
A migrated Pocket archive is only useful if you can work through it. Start with a small Slot — for example “Read this week” — and give it a daily reminder. Leave the long tail in a separate archive-style Slot without notifications. That split is how Reminde stays a read-later app instead of another graveyard of links.
Teams and households can share shopping or planning Slots. Solo readers usually keep Watch Later and Reading private. Either way, the same account syncs across Chrome, the web app, iOS, and Android, so a save on a laptop can surface on your phone the next evening.
Frequently asked questions
Is Reminde a good Pocket alternative after the shutdown?
Yes. Reminde is a bookmark manager and read-later app with reminders. Import a Pocket CSV export, sort items into Slots, add tags inside a Slot, and pick them up on web, iOS, Android, or Chrome.
Can I import my Pocket list into Reminde?
Yes. Export a CSV from Pocket (Profile → Settings → Export), create a Reminde account, then upload the file from Account → Import your Pocket data. Saved URLs land in Reminde so you can sort them into Slots and attach reminders.
Does Reminde replace Pocket on my phone and in Chrome?
Reminde has a web app, iOS and Android apps, and a Chrome extension. Save from the browser, review on your phone, and keep the same Slots in sync. Use it as a read-later and bookmark manager — not a social network.
What happens to tags, favorites, and archive from Pocket?
The importer brings over the links in your Pocket CSV. After import, put items in Slots such as Reading, Watch Later, or Shopping. Tags live inside a Slot, so you are not flattening Pocket tags into one pile. Add reminders for items you still intend to finish.
